CD Review
The new cd contains bits for everyone. Tracks like armchair journey are a show case for Merv and Metro Both are outstanding on this track. Jelly lips brings the bands sound into the 21st century with experimental synth textures and non-linear sounds. Vedavox is remeniscent of ethnic tracks of old with a eastern flare. Spacebass brings us up to date with a logical follow on from the previous CD, spacious synth tracks and explosive guitar/synth lines. Disdots is reminiscent of the more trippier tracks trancending both synthetic and organic soundscapes intermixed with gentle glisandos. On Etherclock Ed entertains us with tasty guitar jams backed by a very groovy rhythm section. An explosive climb to the top features Tom's outstanding bubbles. A very synthetic 'Splat' features a repetitive theme that crosses over the different passages leading to a journey through hyperspace with Ed as your tour guide. Ping, the final track on the Album, brings us back from our sonic tour with a gracefull chillout acoustic jam. Just as you think you are ready to jump off, the floor disappears into a lead jam with our feet reaching for a floor that cannot be touched. Overall a very satisfing journey through Ozric Space with excellent production and wide dynamic range. -Mike
